Takedown policy
How rightsholders can request the removal or amendment of records published on White River.
What we publish
White River publishes factual auction sale records — lot, date, currency, realized price, and the originating sale and house — and derives quantitative analytics on top of that data. We do not republish photographs, catalogue commentary, condition reports, or other proprietary content authored by auction houses or rightsholders.
Who can submit a takedown
Any auction house, gallery, artist estate, artist of record, or authorized representative who believes a record published here:
- Implicates proprietary content beyond the factual lot record;
- Misattributes a work to the wrong artist, sale, or house;
- Was published in error or contains a factual mistake;
- Relates to a sale subject to a confidentiality obligation we should be aware of.
How to submit
Email takedown@whiteriverresearchgroup.com with:
- The artist name and the lot URL or lot ID(s) on White River;
- The nature of the concern (proprietary content, misattribution, factual error, confidentiality);
- Your role and authority to act on behalf of the rightsholder;
- Any supporting documentation, if relevant.
What we do
We aim to acknowledge receipt within two business days and to resolve the request — by removal, amendment, or a written explanation — within five business days. For sensitive or complex requests we may need additional time and will keep you informed.
Counter-notice
If a record has been removed in error, the original source or an interested party may submit a counter-notice to the same address and we will reinstate where appropriate.
