Artwork Brief
A pre-sale read on a single work
For a work coming to auction, the brief sets out how likely it is to sell, how its estimate compares with the artist's record, whether a guarantee at the usual level would be covered, and a likely price range — with a short written reading that draws on the artist's full sale history and the closest comparable works sold before the sale.

Approved accounts get 10 works a month, up to 10 per brief. A work is only counted when its brief is delivered.
